Republic needs pilots on the Q and the 170 right now. However, rather than take a partial victory, they will turn down anything less than a full win. Your case illustrates that, and we see it every day on the line.
They want a waiver of CBA limitations, you say "maybe if you do x" they say "no", you say "c-ya". Then 80 people get stranded in CMH or IND which costs the company thousands.
This problem extends from hiring to scheduling to pay, and up all levels of management.
It's their way or the highway.

Did they offer you a class date? Typically you can defer up to 3 classes. How do you know you were "declined a class" because of what was said in an interview?. You were either offered one, or not. Then you either accept or refuse.

I have nothing against the q400. Iam currently with a prop 121 regional right now. However my goals r a bit different. I plan to fly for the carriers over seas and they only consider jet guys for their operations. I have no plan to fly for majors here . So that is the reason I am picky for jet over a prop because if I have to fly a prop for republic, then iam in a better position with my current 121 on a prop with upgrade time at 2 yrs.
