There was a poll which ended this past weekend. Not sure though if it got the union's desired level of participation.

Last email I saw showed that the participation was in the 55% range(their goal was 80ish).
I didn't take it and have talked to many others who did not as well. What difference does it make anyhow.
Oh well, back to reading by PDU NOT!

The main reason why we voted the contract down was because it did include items that didn't synch what pilots wanted. You may think whatever you want about the union, but if you don't participate in the survey, you relinquish all the rights to ***** about the next TA that comes in front of you.

The people in NC are not mind readers , you know..

In one sentence you say you knowingly didn't participate. In the next you voluntarily share your apathetic disposition. Then you mock pdu's insinuating that you won't stay abreast with negotiations.

The word interdependence doesn't mean much to you does it...

You can roll your eyes all you want that is not going to get you a contract. At least show them what you are mad about it. I know I did.

Not well, but giving up is not the answer. The last team was effectively booed out of their seats after the last TA. A few good people have just stepped up to carry the torch. We need every man on board to ensure they represent our interests and our voice is heard. That includes you.

I don't suggest you follow the Union blindly and don't buy into "my NC speaks for me". However please refrain from sitting on the sideline and putting down your own team. That's just wrong.

Loon, why would you not want to give your input?

How does that country song go: I've got better things to do, like: wash my car in the rain, change my new guitar strings......
What I am getting at is this: the ibt357 is a corrupt entity that does only what IT wants. It no matter Dr. Jones, they will not even consider our input; they and the NC are gonna do what they want. My friend, they don't want a new cba the same as I don't want a new hole in my head. They want to milk this as long as possible. Why? An example: a while back a certain ibt357 rep was using OUR funds to foot the bill for gas money/extra expenses to go bang his girlfriend/wife whatever she is now. They are corrupt!
Why would anyone want to end all of that? The new NC will milk us just like the last. To quote Pete Townsend "meet the new boss, same as the old boss"(and yes, I know he didn't sing it, but he wrote it).

Default Republic prospective class option

I interviewed with Republic last year and was declined a class because at the interviewed I said no to the Q400. If I apply again now, are they still pushing prospective new hire FOs for the Q400 or the Shuttle or Republic E170 classes are being offered as well.
