Republic pilots causing airline to shrink

I think Rev. Bedford's whinefest is appalling.
Since the "no" vote, he's taken every opportunity he can find to go about bad-mouthing his pilots for not accepting his lousy offer......AFTER 7 YEARS OF STONEWALLING!!!,....and after realizing that he needed to do something to attract new F/O's.
He's gone to Congress and whined. He's gone to the RAA and whined. He's gone to media outlets and whined. He's blatently lied about shrinking his airline due to the "no" vote,.......when it was made abundantly clear *PRIOR TO THE VOTE* that they had planned to shrink the airline when many of RAH's smaller, inefficient aircraft would be parked or returned when leases were up and in concert with the downsizing of United's Cleveland hub.
He's whined that his airline can no longer attract new pilots, because that darned ol' government-mandated safety related change keeps him from flooding his school house with doe-eyed, 250 hour, kids who are willing to swing gear in a totally awesome jet for 20 grand a year.
But according to Mr. Bedford, none of this would have happened if those greedy pilots would have simply, (and gratefully) accept his offerings, shut their mouths, and dutifully gone about making it possible for his $1.25 million annual paychecks to continue,....uninterrupted.
I hope my (greedy) brethren at RAH will remember Mr. Bedford's recent comments :
“We’re disappointed we couldn’t get to an agreement with the
pilots … We want them working with us and not against us.”
and continue to dutifully take their time and diligently conduct their pre-flight and post-flight inspections in such a manner as to insure that all RAH aircraft remain in a safe and airworthy condition. And when in doubt,.......write it up! We wouldn't want it to be another 7 years before the Good Reverend feels compelled to drop a few more crumbs.

BB has been making you guys wait for 3/4 of a decade for a Cba, and you think an "intermittent" cba is needed?
Seriously??

Yes, I am serious, we should have taken a non- concessionary, mediocre cba in the meantime. You guys all wanna shoot for the moon and take no prisoners. This is not realistic.
Now hush up and pay your assessment.

Of that 3/4 decade we've been "in negotiations" for at least half of that. So, although your point sounds valid, it really isn't.

I was never issued a FOM. You are a piece of work. Some may say backstabber, because I doubt that you have the balls to tell the captain when you ASAP it. You never responded: are you a perdubie?
Gary, you should really get off APC and stop.
defending BB. Guess you really did want to be a management pilot, that was your payoff for selling us out.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. No one is entitled to their own set of facts. The fact that they have a lot more experience and a history of telling people the truth, whether they like it or not, and history has proven them correct, again speaks volumes.
What Akin pointed out was that the vote was based on a lot of people being given bad information and a lot of promises that can't be delivered on. And now that the door is closed and the money gone, it won't reopen anywhere near what it was, regardless of what was promised. That's what is confusing to him. That so many didn't read, ask or question. They blindly followed a Pied Piper who hasn't delivered on one promise yet.

Sounds like the posts between this one and my post above speak for themselves. Seems to me that the Republic pilots are more than capable of making an educated decision, and further, had the guts to say "no more" even though it is costing them money and perhaps might cost them their jobs at Republic someday.
He-he. And now the money is gone, huh? Was the last contract offering one of those "last, best, final," offers I hear so much about in the regional airline biz?

I don't work for BB, and would never even consider it. Was trying to point out that your pilot group has been jerked around for a long time, and your management is overdue in coming to the table with a fair and reasonable offer that isn't an insult to the profession!
