Also, how well would it have worked out for RAH (and my job) if this TA passed then ExpressJet and/or Envoy worked out better deals than we had? There would be fewer pilots coming to class at RAH and the shrinkage of flying would have to continue. How does a shrinking airline with zero chance of upgrade improve my situation? Mainline can afford to pay more for their Capacity Purchase Agreements so why should I bear the burden of Managements failure to negotiate a better CPA? Flying is no longer going to be awarded to the cheapest airline but the airline that can put a crew in the airplane. Long story short we may (and I'll emphasize may) have saved the airline and our jobs by shooting the TA down.
Ah, an idealist. Sounds like the ending to a John Wayne movie(riding off into the sunset).

We would have all been reserve pilots because we would have been contactable. We would have had to sit hot reserve (something our current pos contract doesn't allow). We would have had cobases with no defined terms, we were supposed to sign a blank check to the company and trust them.

To all that I said **** no. Keep blaming us for planes you were parking anyways BB. *******.

God bless.
Actually our current CBA does allow for hot reserve.
Actually troll, it doesn't. The devil is in the details. You must be based in Indy and you make sure to violate the FOM and block out early every time to start the clock. I started filling ASAPs on morons like you.

It does sound like that doesn't it? The fact is the contract as it was did not have any real gains for the pilot group (other than vague promises and small pay bump that didn't keep up with COLA since '07). Voting the TA in sounds like a continuation of the prison movie that one of the FAs on my last trip is apparently into.

Ah, I'm a troll because you don't agree with me. As far as hot reserve goes, it's in the cba; or could it be that you don't pay attention to details.
I'm a troll, according to the thought police. ASAP reports for blocking out early? Lol. You a perdubie?

Same side guys. You both know that it is in there but the company can't use it the way they would like because the devil is in the details. The newly rejected TA did conveniently carve that little detail out for them though.

Yeah when idiot captains like you bend over for BB without lube to get out on time not following FOM procedures, not writing up missing placards, insinuating this broke on the way back to the hub or base, you bet your ass I ASAP you.

How much money have we lost over the last seven years holding out for a kings random? BB loves your kind. He's laughing all the way to the bank.

I was never issued a FOM. You are a piece of work. Some may say backstabber, because I doubt that you have the balls to tell the captain when you ASAP it. You never responded: are you a perdubie?

I am not asking for a kings ransom. The company is making millions a quarter at the expense of the employees that move the metal. The "take whatever they give us" mentality is the reason the industry is where it is in the first place. I can tell your self worth is either extremely low or you have been sitting in the left seat too long to understand the hardships of the person sitting next to you (this is not meant to be a personal attack). I am tired of my sweat going to fund BBs castle. We are trained professionals and we deserve better. I know deserve is subjective, but I do know what I am getting now is less than what I deserve.

This is my ransom: the ability to bid min guarantee, 4.5 hours min day, anything after 11 hours duty paid 1-1, 1st year $30 per hour with 4 dollar raises thereafter capped at 7 years, CAs start at $65-70 with 4 dollar raises thereafter capped at 15 years, pay tables based on the actual seat, ability to bid what you can hold after a 2 year seat lock, leg by leg cancellation pay, and much less vague areas. Most other areas I am content with. That is not a "kings ransom".

You speak well and I hear your plight. My point is that maybe we needed a "intermittent" cba to lead us to "the pie in the sky". A stepping stone if you will; It seems like everyone wants to swing for the fences.
