Rumors of an ord base opening this year. No Pitt base though

Republic, new pilot contract, large RJs, tons of cash and flying that will last more than 2 years.

I may be listening throughout the wrong air vent, but I have heard said that TSA has halted upgrades due to far less attrition than expected. They also seem to not be able to get the new hires they need. My question is HOW are they going to open an ORD base? What planes? It's interesting.

Upgrade classes running thru May, then September to the end of the year. Most of my trips are go to Ohare through another city, spent 3 days flying out of Ohare, then back to IAD through another city. We haven't had any issues filling classes to this point.

If you've not paid attention to the industry this last 10 years, I'd be very wary of going to an operation that only flies 50 seaters.

The ORD base is NOT going to be resulting in any new growth. We actually fly more out of ORD than any other base and the company thinks this will help the operation run more smoothly. Not even sure how big of a pilot base it will be at first. I've heard different things from different people in regards to upgrades. We were doing 10 per month for a while which is a pretty rapid pace for the size of the company. This month we went down to 2. What were doing in the following months is different depending on who you ask.

Very true. I'm enjoying the company, just lime to see a little growth and/or movement. Its an interesting career though.
