Republic TA

wrong, wrong wrong. We get it for a vote for a TA, eboard just endorses, condemns or stays silent . LBFO triggered a vote because of Teamster bylaws saying all LBFOs get put to a vote. Company changed their offer and it was retracted. This is not ALPA and the structure and bylaws are different.

i'm involved with the union. Our bylaws are different than ALPA. People have lost touch with this.
1.) E-board approves it, campaigns for it, we vote.
2.) E-board disapproves it, campaign against it, still goes to a vote.
3.) E-board remains silent, goes to a vote.
We will vote no matter what.
Read the TA, chew on it, compare it to everyone else and your expectations, then vote. I'm not telling anyone how to vote, nor will I post up my vote. But we've been waiting the better part of a decade to see something, do your homework.

I can send a 500 page document to dozens of union shops via email tonight and we can have 2000 printed versions before we wake up in the morning.
You guys have been negotiating Four Articles since 2007 and now you are making the membership wait two weeks (and counting) to read the details?
What hubris. What a disservice to the pilot group. If they were proud of the fruits of their labor they would have trotted this TA out asap. I guess we can all infer the quality of the TA by the exuberance of its support thus far.
How long does it take to read four articles? 45 minutes? 1 hour?

The TA was reached 14 days ago! Two weeks and the membership hasn't had a chance to read the details? This is maniacal, is the E-Board actually claiming the delay is due to a "union printshop"?

The Teamsters Airline Division took over negotiations. The TA was presented to our local on the 21st. And our Eboard is taking time to digest it (and decide their stance) before it goes to membership for vote. It hasn't even been a week. The Eboard's presentation to us will include comparisons to other TAs, industry trends, etc. We are not simply waiting on their opinion and then a printing of the TA.

Slow down there Tiger. It's not a print shop holdup.

The fact that its been 14 days or 6 days or even 4 days without even a bullet point update is very telling. Either CM is smacking his wee-wee on the table in an effort to show the IBT AD who is really in charge or the TA is bad.
There is a big difference between rushing something out and sitting on something. This just appears to be the latter of the two. I hope it is great for everyone at RAH, you guys deserve a better CBA amongst other things.
