Oh come on. Around $25,000 then?
Here is Eastern Illinois University. Notable Alum include Tony Romo, John Malkovich, and so on Eastern Illinois University :: Notable Alumni
Here is the breakdown for Eastern Illinois
Eastern Illinois University Tuition, Costs and Financial Aid - CollegeData College Profile
It says it's about $25,200 to go there, and the 2012 average debt for graduates was $28,000.
Let's not fuel the myth that it costs $100,000+ to become an airline pilot.
It's almost at no cost if you have the balls and the genes to go military.

Costs for 2013-2014 school year, $11,144 for both spring and fall semester. Times 4, for 4 years, equals $44,000 for a 4 year degree. Again not counting any fees, room, or board. Try again, young grasshoppa. Maybe you should look into taking a couple of reading comprehension and math classes at all of these cheap schools you find.
Oh, and one more thing. That $25,200 number you quote. If you would READ, you'd see that's PER YEAR, and it includes fees and room and board. Tell me, what is $25,200 a year times 4 years? Here's a hint, IT'S MORE THAN $100,000!!

Ask yourself this. Where would you rather fly that CS300 aircraft? At the regional airline or the major airline?
Someone's getting that airplane, it's not going to be a company who's pilots stood tall like at AE. So now the ball is in your court on how the regional airline industry is going to shape up.
If you turn down the contract based on CS300 payrates alone, you'll still be flying this airplane, although you will be working for a major airline when they have no choice but to pull you over and out of the regionals.
My guess is they will want 10 years out of this contract. You are going to be shaping the future of the regional airline industry not only for yourself, but for many who will come after you. Think about what you are doing here. An opportunity for change on this scale doesn't come around that often.
There is a movement happening in this industry right now, now the ball is in your court to say what is to become of this movement.

The CSeries is to compete with the Boeing 737 series and the Airbus A320 family, as well as the Embraer 195 regional jet. Bombardier expects the CSeries to burn 20% less fuel per trip than these competitors.[5]

Pay rates are no longer negotiated by weight and speed. It is all about the revenue potential. Take the 787 and 777 for example.
