Default Republic and Silver both join Airline Apps

Does this mean both are having trouble filling classes? With them getting on there it only opens them up to what is probably a wider group of applicants. And does it signal a larger problem arising of a staffing issue which is going to be here sooner rather than later? Ingesting to think considering republic is very large and I assume is still trying to staff their new e175's and silver is probably losing people by just going to other places. Discuss...

Outsourcing.

Pure and simple.

Cheaper.

(And the bonus of someone applying to one, clicking to submit apps to all.)

Or just "walk in", get a job, along with a Starbucks gift card and a chance to win an ipad, because there is no shortage of pilots and we don't need to raise pilot wages and improve work rules!

What a complete joke!

From AirlineApps:
Interview sessions will be held beginning at 8:00 a.m. and 1 p.m. at each location. Email us today at [email protected] to reserve your interview slot.
(Every effort will be made to accommodate walk-ins as well.)

Every pilot applicant at each session will receive a Starbucks gift card and the first 60 pilots who register for and attend a session will be entered in a drawing to win one of two iPad Air tablets to be given away each day!

Why don't they just raise pay? Enough of this bull****! Republic needs to get their **** together and get a real contract, I think its pathetic that Silver has better work rules than Republic. Silver needs to stop the crap too and get with the program before we end up just like Great Lakes.

I'm waiting for Cape and AWAC to join AirlineApps. Their in-house app systems are tedious.

We're trying genius. We could've rolled over and voted in a crappy TA like PSA and screw over the rest of the industry but we shoved the pos ta right back in their faces. Any other advice?

Having talked with a few Republic people, I'm happy to say they came across as some stand-up guys who don't have much interest in voting for garbage. Stay strong, and let the company do what they may to attract applicants. It may take a while, but they'll get the message.

Like Grrr said I was referring to management! What was it that you didn't understand about "Why don't THEY just raise pay?" Huh genius? Did you think I was referring to pilots giving themselves raises? Now that doesn't make much sense, eh genius? Unless you're management, then that sentence would make sense now wouldn't it?

You asked for advice, here goes; Taxi slow, leave the APUs run all day long if you can, write every single thing up, etc. Are you guys doing stuff like that? I understand that if a flight is canceled you won't get paid but there has to be creative ways of letting management know that enough is enough. Genius
