Default Republic Junior Bases and Reserve Times

I'm hoping that some Republic pilots could help me with some base information. I am starting training for the 170 on 6/03. I'm trying to get an idea of base info before I have to make my intial bid. Commutability is important; but my family and I plan on moving to the base longterm.

Based on the following base options, which would I most likely be able to hold immediately and what are the approx. current reserve times. (CMH, MCI, PIT, PHL, or IND).

Thanks in advance for your help...

Same question for Shuttle America too if anyone has a minute to answer that? Thanks!

Ok...We got the sarcasm out of the way... That didn't take too long....

I'm looking for current information (last bid), from pilot's who don't mind helping a future crew member make a decision that will effect his entire family. I really would appreciate some CRM to help me here....

Pit would be the easiest since its junior and everyone holds a line quickly. CMH, IND you could get out of training but youll be on reserve a long time. MCI, PHL have some really long reserves. I was a Feb 4 hire.

Agreed- Pit has been blowin up lately- Guys hired 8 months ago are almost half way up the list. I was hired 13 months ago right to phl and held a line 8 of those months- its not like that now though. Movement will happen soon though with upgrades into the Q and the AA flying with a ORD base( OCT i think) Good luck- IM me if you want more detail bro.

If you're planning long term and thinking of moving there, I'd go with CMH. It's one of the largest bases. With all the movement coming you'll move up there quickly. Cost of living is cheap. And it's probably one of the more secure bases, given the MX there.

Agreed- CMH or PIT for solid movement

Your best bet is definitely PIT but Mx bases like CMH, IND and PIT will probably see some drastic changes with the new rest rules coming out. So be careful making plans based on the current base structure.
