I thought calling the 170 a "real airliner" was something we all joked about. I'll make sure to recognize its awesomeness on the radio today. "Continue on Romeo behind the real airliner, monitor tower".
I don't think that JetBlue or Airways operate a CRJ, E145, or DHC8, but I know FO's that flew those that are now at both of those companies on all types. Thanks for nothing though....
To the OP, I don't know anything about RAH, but you might have to fly with Karma, which would be reason enough for me not to go there...
I was only on reserve at XJT for 4 months, but the lines are getting progressively less commutable. Next month I have one commutable trip. If you're young, mobile, and you don't have a family and can live in base or within driving distance, it's not so bad, at least no worse than any other regional. If you're after a quick upgrade...well, someone told me once to never chase a quick upgrade so I can't recommend trying that. It's never as quick as you think it will be. Go wherever offers you the best QoL from day 1.
Maybe in the short term but if your goal is to move on quicly then that is not true. The last time I checked who the non-previous captain new hires were at JetBlue and US Airways that got hired without having any turbine PIC time, they just happened to have experience on the same type of plane these mainline companies have. 170 and 190 are the same type, coincidence? I think not!

You're going to have to use a little common sense from time to time. Obviously I didn't say or imply all of the FO's hired but there are more FO's from the 170 vs CRJ or DHC8. If you worked at JetBlue and wanted the lowest washout rate, who do you think you'd hire? Trust me, I've seen people who couldn't adapt and step up to the embraer.

Dude stop making stuff up, you sound very unintelligent and delusional...
And step up to the Embraer???? There are guys all over the world over the last few years with 500 or so hours make it thru training. Embraer makes airplanes simple to fly, that's how they built the ERJ and EJET. These airplanes have been designed for someone with limited flying experience. That's how all RJs have been designed. AUTOMATIC!!! And Airbus has done the same thing.
