Republic New Hire Training Experiences
I am considering applying to Chautauqua and I have heard that quite a few new hires have had problems with checkrides or oral exams. Anyone know if this is true or what specifically the issues are?

Attitude and preparation go a long way...
Dont let the training program deter you. Feel free to keep the crappy contract and the paycuts every year to travel benefits, health care, and now rediculous 401k fees deter you though.

Having to pass a type ride at as a new hire puts extra pressure on new hires. Here at Eagle we had a pretty high fail rate. They simply were not giving enough training for FOs already here going back for the type ride. They were giving I think two sim sessions and a type ride. I think now they get an extra sim session. For a new hire the type is about the same check ride basically but they can't re train things that they could in the past. So basically fewer mistakes can be made.
