Karma, I hope you're kidding with that comment.

Republic is purposely short staffed, consistently schedules 14 hour duty days with scheduled 9 hour overnights that will without a doubt become reduced rest, has an extremely poor contract and very low morale- fair warning.

This is pretty far from true. Yes it does happen but not consistently, I would use the word rarely. I just pulled my schedule, the shortest overnight I had out of this month or next is 12 hours and out of the two months the longest days I have are three 13 hour duty days, most are between 5 and 9 hours and most of the overnights are around 15 hours with a few at 24 hours. Average legs per day = 3. Yes I agree the contract is ancient, long due for a new one.

If you're going to be negative about RAH then at least be accurate. I will help you out, during training you will live with another man who has a good chance of snoring and/or letting out frequent SBD flatulence into the room. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Eagle gives you your own room after week 2.

I've never been one to chase the upgrade so I went with the one that provided the best QOL, travel benefits, and the one place that I would still be at least somewhat happy with after 10-15 years if I needed to stay that long. I work to live, not live to work. I try to maximize my spending time with Friends and Family and have been blessed enough to travel a lot of the world with my wife during my time off.
Wow, it's like reading something written by me! Are we long lost twins?

Work to live, not live to work is a mantra I live by. I never do any flying on my days off. My wife and I have also travelled the world and continue to do so.

Good man!

Doble occupancy first week of indoc. (No need to study for that test, is open book!). Second week home doing CBT, third week you can study home or stay at DGW. By the first week of systems they move you to your own room.

I rather be in a boring place like DFW that will make me study that being in France or Brazil without time to go out and enjoy.

What regional would everyone recommend to someone who actually lives in Columbus? I was looking at Republic mainly for the CMH bases across all three certificates.
I know Expressjet and Commutair have cle bases, however I'm over 2 hours away.
PSA has a Dayton base which is alittle over an hour away.

I always wonder if they mixed up my real twin at the hospital. Good on you!

Warning to all : MCO is a miserable commute (AA), especially during tourist season (which is most of the time).
