I also forgot to add that ready reserve is not just a little here and there, as a junior mofo, your whole monthly schedule will consist of putting your uniform on and wondering around aimlessly all day in the airport begging for a call to cure the boredom. You will also fly 5-8 legs a day and have to do the walk of shame to the back lav with your head down if you're taller than 5'11" should you need to relieve yourself. The average leg per day on the 170 is 3 with a 6'5" cabin and 2 lavs. There is no denying that the pay scale is better at Eagle and there are a few little luxuries that you won't find at RAH such as an ACARS printer and a in house cafeteria when you go for training and PC's. As far as the work rules, when it comes down to it, an average day of work at RAH is much easier.
Well once you are settled in you seat in the cocpit of an E135 the head room is not bad at all, plus it pays more than your 76 seat jet and thus why your company get the flying be a use if people like you who chose a place of employment base on SJS...

Come on those Biscoff Cookies are great! Someone Finally got the great idea to throw a bunch of those things in a blender and blend them in the a spread. Now you can top your peanut butter sandwich with Biscoff spread like I do.

Every regional pilot has some amount of SJS, there is no regional that pays what we are worth!!!!! Are you judging us because you're better than us and started out at $50k when you were a new hire?

The pay rates at RAH are bad, but it's the contract language that is the worst! You need canx pay, trip/duty rigs, premium pay, etc... I'm hopeful you guys hold out for an industry leading contract, and raise the bar for all of us. I'm sure BB will hold the AA flying hostage, but don't fall for it!

No, I don't make 50K but I don't make my place of work because I can stand up in the airplane or because it has a bathroom up front. Your post hinted that one reason to pick republic is because you can stand up in the airplane.

Go to Republic. Upgrade time will reduce drastically with the new airplanes. Get your time and get out.

Has anyone interviewed recently? I have an application in and still have not heard anything. Just curious.

Yea but Eagle has a ton of pilots leaving for AA this year. Upgrades times will drop fast. Both have a lot of upward movement coming. The question is which is a better company to work for. I wouldn't want to work at republic, hear only bad things. I'm pretty happy at Eagle.

Is it true that RAH does NOT offer access to ZED travel?

Both will have lots of people at the top moving on to other things - maybe Eagle a bit more due to the three different methods of going over to AA (Numbered, "824" and preferential hiring). However, would you rather go to an airline that has fast movement and growing or fast movement and shrinking?
