Eagle has better pay but worse QOL and less stability. Eagle furloughed and displaced just last year. You will sit uniformed airport ready reserve and get junior manned while you won't have to worry about that at RAH. Eagle has mostly obsolete 50 seaters while RAH has more 2 class jets vs 50 seaters.

You are wrong. For the pilots here the company does not use ready reserve nor junior man. Most of the time on reserve you get assigned flying a few days out. I've only done the short call out once a month on average. You basically end up being used everyday on reserve like an 11 days off lineholder.

With that said, our captain rates are industry average/above average. It is the FO pay that is seriously low. We also need better work rules. The fact that the company scheduled more mediation sessions after the mediator parked us says to me the company is desperate to get a deal done. Hopefully we either get a TA or we get a proffer of arbitration. What the union is asking for would make this a much better place to work.

Good point, I also forgot to mention that junior manning is not just for people on reserve, you could be a line holder and get the shaft worked up to your seniority on your weekend to come in when you had something planned but you're right, you'll get Monday off and a couple extra bucks to make up for it. I also forgot to add that ready reserve is not just a little here and there, as a junior mofo, your whole monthly schedule will consist of putting your uniform on and wondering around aimlessly all day in the airport begging for a call to cure the boredom. You will also fly 5-8 legs a day and have to do the walk of shame to the back lav with your head down if you're taller than 5'11" should you need to relieve yourself. The average leg per day on the 170 is 3 with a 6'5" cabin and 2 lavs. There is no denying that the pay scale is better at Eagle and there are a few little luxuries that you won't find at RAH such as an ACARS printer and a in house cafeteria when you go for training and PC's. As far as the work rules, when it comes down to it, an average day of work at RAH is much easier.

At Pinnacle they took away our scheduled meal breaks. They figured we could make it through the day on those lovely Delta Biscoff cookies and water lol
For those who might wonder what my point is...it's a crap shoot! Today's sucky place is tomorrow's place to be and tomorrow's place to be is next weeks hell. You might as well flip a coin to decide where to go!
