With all the hiring that is going on at Eagle, does it look like holding a line will be pretty quick? I know its dependent on base/equipment..
Unless we start upgrading and losing a lot of people soon, it might take some time. I'm a 2010 hire and took me 7 months to get out of RSV in ORD EMJ.
As for the CRJ, people from the ATR and CA displaced to FO, usually they pick the CRJ, so I think it will take longer to even have classes in that equipment.

If you are making major career decisions based on what you read on this site, you are mistaken. Read the Wall Street Journal, and analysts forecasts and stock projections, these are the real benchmarks for which to make a decision.
RAH is a terrible place to work, but its better than going to the next "wholly-owned regional" thats going to shut down.

Airline recruiting departments use this "We plan on hiring x number of pilots next year" as a way to boost morale and attract new hires. The number is completely bogas. "But my friends, uncles, cousins, son-in-law is a manager there, so they know the numbers" ...Airline managers lie, a lot. (e.g. Eagle announced they were going to hire 800 pilots in 2012, they furloughed 70) Actions speak loader than words, Eagle is losing flying and has zero prospects for replacing aging 50 seaters. Republic just announced a major aircraft order and is looking at rapid expansion over the next 5 years.

$5 k and another type rating on the ticket wouldn't hurt either.
I wouldn't entertain the idea of going to RAH. Nice equipment, but thats about it.
