the SKYW thing was 50-seats only per jet, my understanding. This new development (at least for me) took me by surprise because it is the larger E-175 and the larger the jet, the closer the resemblance to the larger brand, AA (IE 737, Airbus) becomes. Hence if (again, just me) I was in charge of the planet (and I am not...), I would have kept that at ..."Legacy Eagle" ...(I just invented that term) with folks who for umpteen years have worked in furtherance of the brand, not merely Point A to Point B.
In 2013, the traveling public knows the RJ's are "baby jets" and not the "big airline". So the SKYW thing (in my opinion) is not the same thing as the Republic thing.
Disclaimer: did I say this was my opinion ?
Thanks

So how many Pinnacle guys hitting the street will end up at Republic. Ironic thing is since they just voted in the new industry standard it will make it impossible for Republic to get the raise they have been fighting for.
Nothing like now working with the guys that cut your legs out from under you. Good job Pinnacle. Good job.

Some will likely leave, but we are being "told" that:
"Most importantly, there will be no base closures or flight crews furloughed as a result of this agreement. As many of you already know, we are currently hiring, and will continue with our plan to hire 400-500 pilots in 2013."
