Does anyone have any info on Republic Airlines. Training, contracts, moral, possible strike, and culture? I have had a couple calls for an interview, but not to sure. Nice aircraft.

CPAs-widespread, just about every legacy.
CBA- terrible work rules, vague language, substandard FO pay. Our last agreement expired in 2007.
Morale- horrible. Aside from some lifers, people hate the company & can't wait to leave.
Strike- we voted 98% in favor. However, the mediator won't release us yet.
Culture- random across bases, certificates and aircraft.
Aircraft- while the Embraers are nice, they are poorly maintained. The company cuts corners left and right. Maintenance is no exception.
Do yourself a favor and apply somewhere else.

Training- minimal, unorganized, no support from corporate.

Training is not that bad..as organized as any other regional. It's done at Flight Safety.
Pay is low for FO's.
Morale is not that great..it is what you make it.
Voted to strike but but don't see being released by the mediator anytime soon.
Probably don't have to worry about furloughs unless a certificate just goes under..if any it would be CHQ. ..but don't see that happening really.
Maintenance is fine. When something breaks they fix it or MEL it, just as anywhere else..if you want to see poorly maintained aircraft try part 135 freight.
If you live in one of the bases you won't have a bad quality of life..though early show times for the outstation bases will bring that down. You might get lucky and get the base you want and you might not..same with the certificate.
Not agreeing to disagree..Everyone has their opinions of the place. Skywest/Expressjet certainly better in my opinion of a better run company, pilot pay, and bases. But after that it's all the same really.
No matter where you go the whining doesn't stop when you shut down the engines.

Nobody makes fun of people working at RAH..it's a regional, they all suck!
All regional FO pay is low in general..if you want to be trivial about it then sure, it isn't the same.

Yes, definitely choose your employer based on the aircraft they fly. That pays the bills well. Don't consider things like 401k, scheduling, pay scales, etc. Those are way down the list of important things.
