I came to Republic for the quick upgrade and it worked out for me. But that PIC time comes with a steep price. Knowing what I know now, I would have taken the SkyWest class I was offered instead. Bad attitudes for good reasons makes this an unenjoyable place to work right now. I don't see that changing any time soon. SkyWest seems to really care about their people. But that's just from the perspective of an outsider looking in. SkyWest peeps would have to chime in as to whether or not that's accurate. Our contract is for lack of a better word - lousy. You'll collect per diem only far too often while sitting in a hotel for days "at work". On reserve, you'll be woken up at three am to be put back on rest to fly late into the night regardless of whether or not you were actually able to get back to a good night's sleep. This could be a great place to work but sadly that seems to be one of management's lowest priorities. They would be well served to pick up a copy of Yvon Chouinard's book and rethink their approach to labor.

Considering that mediation just concluded for our monthly visit and there is not a peep from our NC...I would say that's a big burrito grande NO. I wish I would have gone to my Skywest interview that was offered to me a day before I started IOE here at Republic...but such is life. If you have the choice of going to a place where you are gonna be stuck as an FO for years to come...why wouldn't you want to make more money??? Their bases are way better than ours so I am sure that's not a deciding factor...so what is it? Equipment? YGBSM!?! Take the real deal over at SkyWest.

I second most posts on here. This place is a wreak. 15 years military, a few other jobs back before college, hands down, this is the worst work environment, I've ever encountered. PM me for further details if you want.
Even if we paid better than everyone else, I couldn't recommend (or stand by) while good people came here. Republic is so bad we actually drink Skywest cool-aid.
Just look around these boards, we have a few of our 8th grade management team posting on here trying to detract from the pilot group.

Again, thanks everyone for your responses, my decision has been made. So I guess if you want to keep bashing Republic here, have at it, otherwise feel free to move on to something else :-)
