Thanks for the great post OP. A wealth of information all in one place. You said that the bases that are junior now will stagnate and the bases with all the senior (upgrading) FO's will have all the movement. I don't care as much about the bases seeing as you can change those. Which certificate do you see with the most movement in the next year or so? Which certificate are the 53 new birds for American going? There should be a lot of movement on whichever certificate that is going to be right? Also, are CMH and IND the junior bases on all certificates? What are the most junior bases on the Republic Cert and how long to get off reserve at the most junior base?

Good luck in trying to prevent soul decay at this place!

We have to staff another 20 Qs plus 53 AA planes in 2 years. without any attrition were talking about a minimum of 365 upgrades. I would say were going to lose at least 100 pilots a year so 500+ upgrades in two years that is 50% of the FOs on property will be CA in two years. With that kind of movement it is impossible to answer your question.
Not to mention we could be losing 50 seat contracts that will affect staffing as well.

Long story short there is no way to tell anymore what is senior what is junior where movement will be or where new hires will go.

They recently negotiated a slowed introduction rate because the Q program is an epic failure.

So what are the minimums to upgrade? I'm sure many of the fresh CFI's with barely 1500 hours won't be eligible for awhile. With 50% of your FO's upgrading and whatever number of FO's aren't eligible to upgrade that could get a little dicey. If it actually happens.

Make no mistake our pilot group is VERY senior on the FO side.
