I'd say that depends on the CFI job. I know it becomes painfully monotonous, but my CFI job gave me lots of great perks over a regional. Sunday & holidays off, home in my bed every night, & fully paid health care to name a few.

That being said, from a marketing standpoint 121 experience is something you'll need on your resume for that major airline interview.

I thought this much. It was over 8 years ago too, & at a major university. For all I know, the full time position I had doesn't even exist anymore. It was a nice job.

I'd say go and interview if you have previous 121 time like I did they will pretty much give you what you want. That's what they asked me in the interview.

I ran into a guy on my deadhead last week who was just hired at Republic. He was ________ over the fact that he was going to be "flying such a big airplane."
