BS flag...half the distance to the goal on that one buddy. If they aren't taking the upgrade there must be a story for that one. There are lifer FO's here for one reason or another, but everyone who can hold it is upgrading right now....I don't know why anyone would dis a Red Team member....we are all in the suck together here. Besides, if anything I feel for the Camp CHQ bro's, especially the ones at ORD.

Remember, FO's cant cross certificates to FO on another certificate either. If you're at CHQ, stuck there as an FO, til you can hold a captain slot on another certificate (that means people JUNIOR to you are on other certificates, with better routes, schedules, more days off, but same pay)

Everybody chill out. I know y'all can't jump certs. I was speaking of "senior enough" compared to guys on the grey and blue sides..

One of my best friends is a CHQ FO and he tells me a lot about how the FOs look down on the 145 guys and as he puts it "they play for the blue team".

Just last week, I had a commuter 170 FO sit there in the Jumpseat and talk crap all over the CHQ guys.. I turned to my captain and we both wanted to smack this guy.

I'm just saying what I see and hear... I'm not trying to put anyone down or bad mouth y'alls situation.

I still think you're not getting it. You CAN jump certificates for an upgrade. If your "friend" hasn't upgraded, he can't hold it or is choosing to bypass it.

No, I understand it just fine. You're making an unnecessary argument. I know yall can jump for an upgrade. I also understand you can't FO to FO. My buddy can't hold any upgrade, which is why I never said anything about him bypassing, etc..

When I originally posted and mentioned upgrades, all I was pointing out was that there is a number of CHQ FO's who have been at an RAH subsidiary longer than the new upgrades at YX and S5..

No, there aren't any CHQ FO's that have have been here longer than the new upgrades at YX and S5. Scratching my head, but maybe you're referring to a few of the former Midwest guys that actually took the recall and are CA's.

only way that is possible is if he bypassed. It goes by DOH (other than integrated folks) regardless of certificate. If he was hired before A S5 or Yx guy, he can take the upgrade to whatever certificate he wants to, before they can. It is true that there are senior Chq FO's getting crap schedules while people juioe to then on other certificates get better schedules due to the lines being better , flights being longer, relative base seniority being different, and that sucks, but there is no disrespect between certificates. Except for blue teamers, they suck at VNAV, which is why they took years longer than us to be allowed to use it!!

A few of my best friends are on the CHQ certificate. I've been on the YX and S5 certificates and I'd say over half the Captains I fly with are former CHQ. I've never seen any air of superiority, nor would it be tolerated. I can't imagine a FO trash talking CHQ without getting an earful from a Captain.

I think your friend might be suffering from a Napoleon Complex. I treat pilots from the red team the same way I treat blue & green team members. We're all eating the same poop sandwich.
