It amazes me how many people b*tch and complain about working for RAH and tell everyone to go elsewhere and yet they've never been elsewhere themselves. They think the grass is greener at other carriers and have no clue that they'd be b*tching and complaining just as much if they were somewhere else. Is the contract perfect at RAH? No, but neither is it at any other regional. There's always something to b*tch about. If its so bad then why are they still sticking around? Just my .02. I've been dealt a few bad cards in my aviation career and just pushed through it and worked hard to move on. Best part, no jet PIC. So, yes you can move on.

The majority of the senior FO's (2007 hires) came from other regionals. Most were from Mesa, TSA, or Skyway...yes we've seen the grass on the other side, and yes this grass that used to be good, now sucks!

..oh, wait. I didn't. I reckon I didn't care that much about that after all.

That bit of hubris sure contributed to the mess, didn't it?
Don't worry Hetman you would have gotten your magical #126 spot back. Nobody at F9 wanted your seat. Trust me on that one!

That number was as meaningless as the 600-ish number. Our level of interest in each other's seats was about equal, I think. The only ones who were coveting the airbii were the ones that went over during the hiring boom.

One of those guys I flew with; another is very vocal on these boards. If they are representative of the culture, that to me is an added bonus of not staying around to take my rightful and entitled place in your seat.

I am glad to hear that. If I was on your side of the equation I would have your exact same sentiments.

Isn't it the same grass as it was in 07'. You take the chances when you make lateral moves.

What he said.

Believe it or not, some people actually have it worse with junior manning, ready reserve and lower monthly line guarantee.

Are you really a line pilot? Your posts are often disturbing.

Wayne? Alex? Paul? Ron? Maybe someone from Seabury? Are you posting from Purdue rd?

Rjet,

I'm curious about the pay rates and work rules you like to see in the new CBA. Anything to offer?

Obviously you're pretty awesome.
I wonder HOW you "worked hard" to move on. Please give us some idea because if there is anything I haven't tried I'll give it some thought.

Glad to know I'm awesome. Thanks! Obviously, you just sit and wait for something to happen. I feel sorry for the future guys/gals that'll have to sit next to you and hear you b*tch and complain.
