Even if the payscale is the same as 9L, with the average CA on about year 8 going to year one pay, that means about $17/hour pay cut.

The only winner here is United.
RAH does not start at the bottom of the CA pay scale. We move right over with our longevity. Ex.. I am 5yr FO, if I were to upgrade tomorrow I would be a 5yr captain.

we flew them for 72.45/hour at year 7 with weather cx pay (huge deal in EWR), mx cx pay (huge deal on the Q) minday of 4 hrs, 150% for open time pick up (min 6 hrs pay), 200% for junior assignment (min 8hrs pay)

hope you guys can get something similar otherwise the Q400 + EWR = shoot me in the face!

+1

You guys have to match or come really close to the above with your contract.

I figured it out... Atkins was in MEM a few weeks ago interviewing Menke for the XJT gig so they can kill that UNION contract with a shamruptcy! Eureka!

If this were true, I would wish for the good old union days. He and Jimmy Hoffa could party together.

(Trivia: Jimmy Hoffa's middle name was Riddle. Think about it.)

All that was true only after the Feb 2011 contract. Care to share what you flew that Q400 for prior to that? Colgan has been at the bottom of bottom barrels until that Feb 2011 contract.

And Pinnacle bottom of the barrel 200 pay.

Did you ever wonder how you got those 140 200s?

When mainline gave up scope?

No when NWA wanted to give them to Mesaba, but the costs weren't in line for NWAs liking. Remember this is only 10 years ago. It hasn't been all that long.

Which is when they gave up scope. You're contract wasn't as good as mainlines back then. And I'm not going to throw those guys under the bus for trying to preserve their quality of life.
That being said, these planes were taken away because the whipsaw between contract carriers continues. It's pure economics to management. Whoever bids it the cheapest wins. They could care less. By you're reasoning Comair or air Wisconsin should have had that flying.
