What, are you really saying this? Pretty classy of you. Everybody has their own interests why they want to work for whoever they want. It may not be the answer YOU like but might be the right reason for this individual.
WarbirdPilot good luck on whatever airline you choose.
By the way, who do you work for? What?

Hello, let me begin my stating that I am fully aware of the situation and the morale at Republic at the moment. However I am heading there on Wednesday for an interview. I've got a pretty decent 135 gig right now that I am totally happy with, but I am off on Wednesday and figure it won't hurt to go get another interview under my belt. I'm just seeing if anyone has interviewed there recently. Like Warbird, I am having trouble finding current gouges. Any help would be appreciated!

I interviewed there on Wednesday last week and I was told on friday that I had passed the interview process. The Gouges are out there however it was a pretty straight forward interview, very relaxed. 10-15 min presentation on the company, then the wonderlik (sp) test, and a general ATP 25 question test (fairly simple if you review the book before hand), You then fill out paperwork while an HR rep and a Line FO or Captain interview you.
Questions are very standard ... tell me a time in the aircraft when ... what did you do... tell me a time you disagreed with a policy... how did you handle it
Finish up paperwork and then you are done... process started at 830 and I was on a 1315 flight that afternoon.
I don't know if I am going to accept just yet because of everything going on but either way it was a good experience

The really sad part is that many of the pilots (particularly 2007 FO's) went to Republic believing they were going to one of the strongest regionals, one that was growing, with reasonable upgrade time, and strong leadership. What a difference five years make. One of my best friends over there was a Dec. 2007 hire. Had he gone to Compass, he would now be a Captain with a flow through to Delta. If he had gone to Mesa, he would be on the street.
Predicting which regional is the right place to go is kind of like picking which pit bull to bet on in dog fight. None of them are going to be pretty when it is all over, but 50% of them will survive.

When they call you they may have a class date open at that time. You can respond and accept that class date or hold out for another. You can pass up to 3 times on a class date offer. I was offered Chautauqua

He said there was a May 1'st Republic class but only two new hires got it. I think there is another one at the end of May but it's probably already filled. For the rest of May I think there is one or two Chautauqua classes and one Shuttle class but they haven't been scheduled yet.
