No problem, you didn't hit any nerves. I just think everyone needs an occasional reminder that yesterday's "bottom feeder" is today's "Winning" regional and will be tomorrow's train wreck. It's the circle of life.

Guys, just a word of caution. Even though this arbitrary pay raise may make first year pay more attractive, please know that this airline has furlough'd three out of the past four years. The ONLY reason there was no "imposed" furlough last fall (2011) was due to the fact there were an overwhelming number of us willing to take a voluntary furlough just to get out if here if only for a few months!

Before you leave a good job, please do you research here! Be prepared to be treated like seasonal migrant workers. It doesn't benefit me to post this info, I'm just trying to make fellow pilots aware of how this place operates. Best of luck to us all!

Repost from another RAH "hiring" thread. Sorry if you've already read this.., just trying to get the word out.

Yes I am. So should all of my coworkers. This company has not bargained in good faith since section 6 opened almost 5 years ago. Now they are feeling the pinch because noone wants to come work here. Their solution is to throw a little money to the FO's (in reality it is all front loaded to the newhires), rather than come
To the table and negotiate a real contract. Am I complaining about this pay raise, damn straight I am!

if you don't / can't understand the ramifications this creates , then you need to educate yourself how CBAs work and how things are done..

if this sets a precedence , then there is nothing that says that they cannot reduce the rates below the CBA levels as they wish..

As opposed to "back-loaded" its time the FO's get some before the selfish Captains throw them and everyone else under the bus again likein 2003. My Nephew was a FO there and the Captains sure got theirs. Take the money, take the ATP and run.

Wondering whether to come here or not... go to www.rahcontractnow.org

Pretty much explains what has/is happening at RAH.

Good Luck!!

funny how so many FO's think they got shafted even when they got the biggest % pay increases and better reserve rules etc....

Last I checked, ASA wasn't charging for their playbook on how they made the company come to the table. Might be time to borrow it.
