What are the odds of getting GSO for a new hire? How about PHL?
Thanks

GSO 99.99% guaranteed PHL 00.01%, I've been based in PHL for just over 2 years and been at the very bottom of the PHL list for just about as long. We just barely had 3 FO slots open up after those 2 years, 2 went senior to me and the other one went junior. Needless to say if it takes that long for just 3 slots to open up you can just imagine how long it would take for them to hire into PHL. Sorry for the bummer news unless GSO was your first pick.

CMH on the other hand is available to most new hires. Come join the paradise of the grey, vinyl sided, chicken sheds with travel trailer type windows. They call those houses. Buy yourself a Nissan Altima and tell yourself your driving a fancy import. Drink, get pale, fat, and dumb. All of a sudden you realize that you make plenty of money as a first year FO and that all this whining about pay is completely unjustified.

Welcome to the midwest of the midwest...

It's still 100x better than Grand Rapids, and 10000000x better than Quincy, IL where I was for a previous job.

Granted there are still a lot of fat and/or stupid people here.

Thanks for the reply. Why is GSO %99.99. Doesn't it come down to what certificate they are hiring for at the time? Or are they always short in GSO and they will put you in there because of need.
Thanks!

Just for the record,

I wasn't bashing RAH pilots, I was bashing my second home: CMH.

How much if any charter flying does Chautauqua do?

Rumor has it that Chautauqua is losing four E145s operated for Continental during the first quarter and an additional four E145s during the second quarter for a total loss of eight aircraft. The Chautauqua/Frontier Express flying is getting smaller as well.
