Not all regionals are the same. They all suck yes but some suck much much more than others.

I noticed their website list the total time requirement as 1200 (Fixed Wing). How set in stone is this? I have 1125 Fixed Wing and 300 Rotor Wing and meet the multi and instrument time requirements.

I seem to remember, at one point in time, the company was crediting maybe 50% of rotor time to the fixed wing requirements. Perhaps someone more in the know can give you better guidance. My advice would be to apply and see what happens.

Good luck and thank you for your service!

Just apply and let them make that descision for you.

last spring we started to hire and no one who met their time requirements would apply. We hired 8 people in one month and we were looking for 40. Most people, I think, got on with about 1000 and and some multi time. I know a few went pretty low but I don't know why.

Doesn't hurt to apply let them decide your not qualified enough.

Master. Any idea why your signature statement only appears on your posts when I am not logged in? When logged in I can not see it.

And BTW...can you clarify for me what you mean by that? I'm curious as it doesn't appear to support the arguments made by many RAHbros on this board or the negotiating position of your NC. Your use of it jumped out at me a few days ago and I've been pondering why ever since. Figured I might as well ask.

On the shuttle side, how senior is ORD and how long would it take a new hire to hold?

You would probably not get it out of training. Only ATL is more senior. How fast you get there depends on how many they hire. Also, if a bid comes out for CHQ FO's to bid over to the Shuttle certificate, it may take a while.

Who knows...it is all about timing with this place. I had a couple friends get ORD after commuting to LGA for a year before they got it...I got it right out of initial training last summer. I was originally slated for LGA, but there were enough upgrades out of ORD to make room for me....and I was at THE bottom...after that 5 more people showed up under me. One from my class, and 4 from subsequent classes. So it all depends on luck, timing, and movement from above. Good luck! I hope you join us at ORD...I would like a line
