a lower pay might be attractive provided you are based in MKE/MCI again.. Commuting sucks, especially for individuals that were based home for many years of their major airline life.
Sure, there are ones that moved on to AirTran, JetBlue, VA, etc. etc. but if I was a MidEx captain that is based in PIE working for Allegiant or flying KingAirs in Iraq, I might be interested being based in MKE/MCI (ie home) and making 37/hr or even higher than that when we get this contract finalized. (According to our BA it will be Sept/Oct time frame)

I am not saying i am right, but that's my speculation..

given what i have seen and read about our negotiations i think that's extremely ambitious for a contract to be done. Also there's nothing about longevity pay for the YX guys. I hope they get it but knowing our management good luck. The ones that will come back are the 40-50 who got integrated in tier 2 who could hold a captain slot when the next upgrade comes around. Tier 4 retention rate will be around 10%.

I think this has already been touched on, but aprox. how long would it take to hold a line for LGA, or what are the other junior bases for S5 that are easy to hold a line for junior guys?

I know ATL is senior and most Shuttle America new hires are going to LGA, but how long would it take a new hire to get to ATL?

Someone can correct me on this, but I believe ATL and ORD are the most senior bases for Shuttle. So unless you are awarded ATL out of training (VERY UNLIKELY) I wouldn't plan on seeing it for a long time.

That's even high. Between 10-20% and most of them will be gone within a year.

So time to stir the pot. I talked to a friend last night who was a lynx guy. He said the list has been approved by the Feds. Just in time for my class on the 18th. What are the chances they cancel it or furlough if enough guys accept a recall? He said I could be safe but who knows. I also am worried because I haven't heard back from HR since the day they called me about the offer and we are less than a week to go. Any incite?

List doesn't go into effect until 60 days after a card drive....which is sometime in June.

They Lynx guy won't get a call for a recall until then.
