Default Republic contract for new hire FOs

I heard that Republic has started to not requiring new hire FOs to sign any contract. Anybody with actual information available?

Lol where did you hear this? The whole aviation community would be going nuts right now if that was true.

Long time lurker, made an account to chime in:

Was given a CJO in November, and just after New Year's day was called and offered a class in Feb. Wasn't presented with the contract until selecting a date that worked for me; it is VERY much still a thing. Only 50k in bonuses now, but the same 100k penalty to break the contract early still applies...

Would love to know if it's possible to forego the bonus/contract though, I'll have to ask. Otherwise I'll end up declining the offer

Just wanted to put my piece of the puzzle. I interviewed in December. Was unofficially offered a job 2 days later, just emailed saying "were offering you a job". I emailed back asking when I would be able to see the contract for review. Was told my official offer and contract will be sent over when a class is available and chosen. No dates, no timeline, nothing official. I am not holding my breath for an official offer anytime soon. Curious what the actual timeline will be at this point with things "slowing down".

Default January 11, 2024 status conference

Not much of an update from last week's telephone conference. Ruling on RPA motion to dismiss still pending.

*************
Parties appeared by counsel for a Telephonic Status Conference. Parties to submit an updated proposed case management plan by the next Telephonic Status Conference if a ruling on the pending Motion to Dismiss (Dkt. 24) is issued prior to that time.

This matter is scheduled for a telephonic status conference on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. (Eastern) to discuss case status. Counsel shall attend the status conference by calling the designated telephone number, to be provided by the Court via email generated by the Court’s ECF system.

Thanks. Shame we aren't getting updates on the public part from the union. New crew, same radio silence

I spoke with a member of the talent acquisition team today. She said that a contract is still very much a thing. 50k bonus and 50k for “damages” if you leave early UNLESS it’s too a legacy. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Default Republic Contract

Is anybody aware of when the 50k bonus is being paid? After one year of service as a captain?

Based on your post, the following seems to now be in place for new hire FOs signing the contract from now on. Can anybody confirm if the following is correct?

1- If leaving at any time before completing two years as a captain, a penalty fee of 50k needs to be paid (plus the 50k bonus needs to be returned if already received)?

2- If leaving at any time before completing two years as a captain to join American, Delta or United (the legacy carriers and not their owned regionals), the penalty fee of 50k does NOT need to be paid (but the 50k bonus needs to be returned if already received)?
