Dismissed for lack of jurisdiction.
Today, the court granted Defendants' Motion to Dismiss Counts I-III for lack of subject matter jurisdiction and Count IV for lack of supplemental jurisdiction. As all claims have been finally resolved, the court issues final judgment in favor of Defendants and against Plaintiffs.
From the court docs (too long to post here), basically it's dismissed on judisdictional reasons.
Defendants now move to dismiss Plaintiffs' First Amended Complaint for lack of subject matter jurisdiction and for failure to state a claim upon which relief can be granted. For the reasons set forth below, the court GRANTSDefendants' motion to dismiss for lack of subject matter jurisdiction....

'Good luck with that. There is a reason this wasn't the Union's first step. They know most arbitrators will look at Republic's current pilot retention problem and will probably side with them. Training contracts are not new to the industry.

having not read the full brief, I do know If the union sued without any harmed individuals from the base/state that would be a big reason for a lack of standing finding.

heard it's in the werks but just what I heard
I wasn't really surprised that a judge sided with the rich. Arbitrator may be fair or may go the same way. guess well see
worst case I pay it back when the legacies start hiring again. at least they can't take my turbine or eventual PIC TT away ...
yet lolz

If they sue, itll be a lawyer on contingency only so it costs the company nothing. Cant squeeze blood from a turnip.

This... Why hasn't anyone talked about simply breakingvthe contract when heading to a major... Put all bonuses and savings in a high yield savings. When they come at you after breaking, pay back the bonuses and see what happens with the fine portion. If they want it, tell em youll be happy to set a repayment schedule. Its what, a hundred k? Getting to the majors a few years ahead of schedule is worth way more.

I believe that stipulation was for the damages Republic could recover from you for leaving early. Bonuses always have been collectible by Republic if you leave before the contracted time no matter where you go.
