(On a side note, I have no affiliation with this avi8tor guy and don’t support his reasonings)
After the 20 CR7s from Mesa are replaced by the 175SCs then United will only have 19 CR7s left in their fleet. The order United placed in June was for 20 firm orders and 19 options. Perhaps Mesa is paying for the 20 but the original order was from United. The last 19 CR7s are flown by Skywest and it appears they’ll eventually be replaced with 175SCs.

Beyond that the only other 70 seat aircraft UA has are the 38 E170s RPA flys for them.

What I’m getting at is the 20 Mesa is getting have to be the 20 United ordered in June.

I would like to get paid the most I can if you haven't figured that out, I just realize your regional and mine are all getting played. We all are taking paycuts period what's hard to understand.
Yet you go to the regional with the lowest pay and benefits. I’m failing to see your logic.

I make more at Mesa because, Republic's bases I would need to have crash pad and other expenses. Your HOURLY pay is more no doubt, but for my individual situation. I make just as much as someone as Republic because I don't have the added expenses. IE if I had Miami as a base at Republic I'd have to have crash pad ect. That extra 4 dollars I would make an hour would go towards that. Live long and prosper.

You don’t make anywhere near as much as a Republic pilot living in base. Even then, most crashpads are around $300 a month. So you’d have to be within $300 of most rpa pilots to justify what you just said.

All things equal. He doesn’t make anywhere near as much as a Republic pilot. That’s the point.

He’s said as much, but if he’s getting 2-300%, he’s beating republic and everyone else at the end of the year.

The willingness to take a paycut to help your airline thrive though!!

I understand why someone would go to Mesa so they wouldn’t have to commute. But this person has a mindset to undercut EVERYONE for the purpose of their regional staying alive.

Yeah. That’s pretty stupid in this (or any) hiring environment.
