Move to a outstation and you will have excellent QOL at republic. Commute to a hub when you get to a legacy/southwest. Republic will never get rid of the outstation model, because it saves them money. If you don’t like outstations, then don’t bid for them. We have more gun bases then outstation bases anyways.


We have many long SDF overnights, so even if you aren’t based there, you could still get a bunch of extra time at home. Also IND is a short drive, and many do it.

Well depending on where you are commuting from, if you commute, outstations can have advantages. Might be an easier commute to Indy than ORD, not having to commute with 12 other people listed for each flight trying to get to work also.

Only for a minority of the population, most pilots commute. Allot from non-base outstations through a hub. Hurray two leg commutes.
