The per diem is while you are away from home at training. At the training center, flightsafety, etc. $60/day for the first month followed by min guarantee after that. Bonuses as applicable.

This is an airline newbie question, but if you have two years in and go to captain you become a 2 year captain correct? Still trying to make sense of the airline pay and bid system. So if things stay the way they are I could expect to hold IAH after 3 years?

Correct, about 8-9 months after finishing upgrade training.

Don’t expect it to stay the same however. Things will change.

So the guys that went to indi for 3 days of orientation and sent home were only pay$180 the first month since they Only worked 3 days?

Nope. $60/day for the first 30 days, plus $1,500 bonus. Then min. 75 hour credit after that. People on a training delay get paid just as if they had continued training, except no per diem. My first check was over $2K.

What he said. We got paid $60/day for the first month even though we only worked 3 days.

I have another question regarding the Republic posted first year compensation. They state a little over 6K for benefits. Is this in addition to what the company already covers for benefits, or are they considering what they normally cover for employees as income?

Don't pay attention to that number. It's a bunch if BS the regionals do to try to one up each other on "pay". Plan on 45k for block time plus 12.5k in bonuses. The last 5k in bonuses is year 2. Benifits and per diem should not be counted as compensation. The benefits you are asking about is not extra, it is 401k match, free dental, free vision, a couple different health plans to choose from, life insurance (they provide x% for free and you can add more on your own dime), option to purchase flight benefits on the codeshares, and maybe a coupke things I'm forgetting off the top of my head.
