During the wait for ground school after going to HQ, what are the policies on continuing to fly?
Personnel flying I would assume is ok what about CFI? I have a couple of people I would like to get to the check ride but that won’t happen before day my day 1.
Indoc start of Nov, looking like 2 months of wait time, by what I see on here.

We recently received an FOM revision memo which officially prohibits outside flying for compensation. Is there a separate memo that gives permission to the pilots in training?

This should have been implemented a long time ago. Especially now that the training delay is longer. The folks in training should definitely take advantage of this to keep their instrument flying proficiency up.

There was just a must read that came out within the last day or two. There’s a change in the verbiage of the FOM’s policy on outside flying.
The previous policy was “..prohibits pilots from flying professionally for compensation for any operation other than Republic..”.
The new verbiage, effective 10/14 states “..prohibits pilots from flying professionally for compensation other than Republic Airline Inc. without prior approval by the Director of Operations (or designee)..”.

Flight benefits will start 30 days after hire. Might have access to the websites to list but we were told mainline won’t let you use them till after 30 days.
Paid time with seniority number. I heard a comment however that after this class there aren’t any more delays. Not sure how they would handle all of that though
