Only speculating here, no more, no less.
My guess is that since AQP initial along with them hiring for classes so far in the future, they have the backlog figured out. They’re just not sending you to class until they have a spot for you, hence why people who are interviewing now are getting June classes. Again, just my guess.
As far as the hotel situation.... I personally thought the Wingate is perfectly fine, and I honestly didn’t have a large problem with the Ocho. I’ve been at better hotels, yes, but I’ve also been at worse hotels. I also spent time in the military, so take it for what it’s worth. But I’ve seen better (by far), and I’ve seen worse.

Yeah, this ain’t the military bud. There’s enough of “embracing the suck” as it is to get to mainline that we don’t need the super 8 to add to it. With all that said there are some legit safety issues with that place.

I mean.... they could always put us in that motel that’s literally right next to the Ocho... the one with the outside doors and stuff. ;p
I WILL say this. I only spent 4 days at the Ocho, so my knowledge of it is fairly limited. I had an incredibly loose toilet seat, that basically made me have to treat the toilet as a squatty potty, but they replaced it promptly after I reported it. That was the only issue that I had with it, other than you have to keep getting the front desk worker to come over and pour the beer for you. I’m sure other people have legit stories about it, and I don’t doubt them. The Wingate is better, though.

Strong words from someone not on property yet. Not once did I say 5 star, just wait till you stay there. And if I must, I was in the military as well so I know what the real world is.

Do you think google, Boeing, mainline, or any other reputable company puts their employees, even new hires, in a super eight for training?

Aviation is the only industry I’ve ever seen where people will attack other people for pointing out a super-8 is probably a sub-par place to put professionals that have spent half a decade and six figures or more in training.

If you spent 6 figures for training you just over paid.
BTW Republic is going to be in 5k for CTP course another 1k at least for hotel during that course. $3500 x 3 months pay while I sit at home. Plus the cost of hotels during that training at least 2-3k. Then a $17,500 bonus. Your looking at 35k investment before I even stepped in the door. Sure the bonus is laid out over time. But it is what it is.
