He didn't say it was a huge drain. He didn't mention any problem with the time at all. And I hardly think that he's "that guy," just because he asked a legitimate question.
Jeez.
That kind of response makes you into "that guy." And that's okay, sometimes, too. We all get to take a turn.
The NC did announce that the results would be announced "shortly" after the vote concluded at 12. A couple of hours is not "shortly" in my book, but whatever. It was a pertinent question.

A few hours isn't that long. There are many layers to getting this released, not just a red or green light. Every release that gets sent out to a pilot group needs lawyer approval. I'm sure there are internal mechanisms at the subcontractor that have to be completed before it gets released to the union, liability and all. The results in themselves need to be shown and discussed with all the reps first. The document may even have to be signed or the company notified before public release. No doubt it'll be leaked before be officially released, but a few hours isn't that long at all.

Hopefully the teamsters are not involved at all with the actual vote counting. Good way for the pilots to end up like the FAs. Oh I’m sure it will take a couple hours, especially if it’s a no. Have to rehearse and coordinate pr with company.

The flight attendant elections were rigged at worst and a disaster at best. Some received five ballots, some received none.

Different leadership and it’s automated electronically by a 3rd party. Relax.

On the internet, things will be read out of context. And things will be read without facial expression, empathy, or understanding. Yadda, yadda, yadda. Misunderstanding and misdirection. Lies and deceit. Truth and opinion. Logic and information. Fact and theory. No one will walk away looking perfect.
So I don't worry too much about what you think of me. I tell the truth, and I call out liars. I will call a traitor to the pilot group a traitor, and I'll call the loud and vociferous idiots, well, loud and vociferous idiots. I try to stay objective, and I let go of the subjective.
But I've never roasted someone I don't know for asking a relevant question! You did that. And everyone else here knows that you did it. So you were "that guy" this time.
Relax, Kemosabe...no one is here to burn down your village.

But I don't necessarily agree with you that "the results themselves need to be shown and discussed with all the reps first."
Our Local has struggled in the past, on more than one occasion, with the idea that they are NOT our leaders. They are our representatives, only. They can learn about it when the rest of us do. Barring an obvious signature or signoff, etc. And then we move forward, together.

Good god, you guys (not just I hate pilots) are making us PSA pilots look good. Just when I thought pilots couldn't be any more silly and douchey... Definitely setting a good example for future RAH aviators. Nice.
