We do have long and short overnight language in our contract with a 14 hour trigger. However, it does also state for the long overnight hotel “when feasible” and adds in a “core business district or recreation area within reasonable driving distance to the airport.” All of this vague language has resulted in not much difference between long and short hotels if any at all.

Wow I’ve got egg on my face! I hope it’s industry leading and keeps Republic afloat. I will be gone before I see the results, but if I get to vote it’s a no unless it’s at least comparable to Endeavor. I’m guessing $7-10, but my batting average sucks right now....

While I agree with you, I will also point out that at least the last three PDU's have all said one way or another "we will give a better update on the next PDU" and have kicked the can further down the road.
Now this could be for one of multiple reasons:
*keeping negotiations out of the public domain, which this thread proves there is a reason to do
* they don't truely have much to update us on
* or they feel they are making good progress and are hoping to have something firmed up for the next PDU but it ultimately doesn't happen as fast as they want so it causes these frequent vague PDU updates.
