We had a net gain of aircraft in 2017, so we’re under staffed. FOs are leaving at near the same rate as CAs. I’m sure you have the PPTs, so why don’t you post those too?

Understaffed? The airline is right sized staffed, you just went through peak with all those planes and didn't see OTP offered over 100%. You have roughly 2080 pilots and 188 frames 5.5 crews per planes or 11 pilots per plane. Republic historically before CH.11 has run 4.0 crew per plane 8 pilots per plane. You're right sized staffed why do you think their "R-Goals" are so good. Being right sized staffed is good for the guys who work there, you might actually get to drop a turn or two.

Had a kinda contract related question. My friend a Republic (a FA) says the pilots now have a downtown hotel rule with a 16 hour trigger. Is that true, I haven't heard that anywhere other than her.

This is patently NOT true.

Not true. They do seem to like choice hotels and LaQuinta though

We do have long and short overnight language in our contract with a 14 hour trigger. However, it does also state for the long overnight hotel “when feasible” and adds in a “core business district or recreation area within reasonable driving distance to the airport.” All of this vague language has resulted in not much difference between long and short hotels if any at all.

Interesting. She told me she had even seen the FAs staying in better places, such as downtown on the river in SDF.

SDF Hotel is nice. Honestly they pretty much do whatever they like with hotels. Most are okay, a few are great, and a couple are horrible
