Sorry for the jargon! So when flying standby on US airlines, (unless it's United), you won't ever know if you're REALLY on the flight until no more than maybe 30 minutes before departure, sometimes last second. So it can occasionally get stressful. We luckily can see exactly how many seats are open on DL UA and AA flights, and where we lie on the standby list, which is extremely helpful and makes this whole process really easy sometimes. We're also super lucky to have access to all the "big 3" and in many cases, this has saved me.

For certain EU airlines (most of the biggest ones), if the flight has any seats open at all, you can be automatically cleared (seat assigned) up to 24h (30h on Lufthansa) before departure, and even change your seat to a better one. Which basically means barring any crazy disturbance, you're pretty much guaranteed to be on that flight at that point.

Yes, F is first class, J is business. Hope this all made some sense!

It really depends on where. Very weak everywhere in South America that isn't Brazil, but very strong in Europe. Asia is so-so.

Republic can NOT list for Business or First on any ZED agreements, so don't take one person's anecdotal evidence as gospel.

Republic is missing some pretty big airlines like Turkish, and Qatar.

Yeah it's a list of 65 airlines, but take a look through it. Air Inuit, Bearskin, German wings (no longer exists). Republic has agreements with most major European carriers (your parents can't fly KLM though). I've never been upgraded on a ZED fare.

When you talk to air Wisconsin pilots (who have United zed) and endeavor pilots (who have Delta zed) you realize how relatively weak the rjet list is.

Sadly, republic isn’t the best or even close to mediocre when it comes to travel privileges. There are fees associated with United, delta, and AA. You are covered, but will have to pay a yearly fee or a segment fee. Your biological parents or step parents can be added l, but again for an additional fee. Your in laws are not allowed in any of the code shares.

I wish there was a way I could add pics to this thread because I have pictures of the slides that involve travel privileges and zedfare.

No worries. I’ll try my best! I am new too just 30 days in. Two weeks roughly for indoc then you get sent home for two weeks to study modules (ETHOS) then you come back for SHIFT (Systems handoff for flight training) the. It’s roughly a week at the earliest (as of now. Mine is 2 weeks out) for FPT (flight procedures training) that’s about 1 week.

That’s all I know as of now. I will let others who’s been through all this chime in
