Thank you for the reply.

Our AA flying was transferred from ORD to PHL and MIA. Total block hours the same.

Default New hires into ORD?

I know it's hard to predict the future in the regional world but based on what i've read in other threads it seems like ORD is losing flying and the company preference is to move flying to out stations.

Do we think this might lead to a base closure at some point in the future for ORD?

If you were a new hire who wanted a Chicago base would your (Anyone who wants to answer) advice be to seek employment elsewhere?

You will get ORD within your first few months here at Republic as an FO. However, It is a different story when you upgrade to Captain. Unless something drastically changes, do not expect to hold ORD as a CA. However, looking at some of the issues going on at the other Regionals based at ORD, Republic may still be your best choice.

good to know.

Thank you for the input.

Just to compare notes, what are some of the other issues you see at ORD regionals?

I think I read envoy having some issues with long reserve times in the past and Skywest with some QOL issues with respect to various scheduling problems I can't remember exactly.

Skywest - One of the worst places to go to right now IMO with the ****ty contract, crappy work rules, and cult like mentality. Had a CJO from them before Republic offered me the job and I chose Republic. So happy that I did, dodged a huge bullet with that one.
Envoy - Won't raise pay either because they consider "flow" a huge part of the compensation package. They have bonuses to get you in the door, and flow to keep your ass there. Why would they need to raise pay? Plus ****ty reserve rules
Air Wisconsin - Hard training environment with high failure rate. Plus what happens in 4 years when their contract with United runs out and nobody wants to fly the 200?
The others are too small/unstable right now to even consider.

Default Any Base out of Training Besides MIA or IAH

Just a data point for the crowd: The 4/03/18 class had it's first shot at a vacancy bid with the May 5th Bid for September 1 move date. Pretty much everyone in class got either their first or second choice of base excluding MIA (8/27/17 Hire - 9 Months) or IAH (Too soon for data - opening 7/1/18).

This class is scheduled to be done with training (Ground, Sims, OE) in June/July so they could potentially have to go to their indoc awarded base for 1-2 months until the 1 September start date for the May award.
You can email crew support and ask to move to your new base ASAP and never have to go to your Indoc awarded base if they can make it happen/afford to lose you at your indoc awarded base.

Hope that helps.

Do you believe IAH will be junior for new hires to hold out of training?

Too soon to tell. Re-ask in September.
