First Officer BASE DROPS- Initial and Monthly

From what I have read on here recently, LGA seems to be fairly junior, so I would image you would be able to get it.

CJO
Are there any recent new hires on here that can let me know if your CJO was in writing or verbal? Do they send you anything in writing to backup their verbal offer? I was told they also give you a manual (study) prior to starting class. Any truth to this?

CJO is a phone call followed by an email you print, sign, scan and email or fax back. After that you get a flury of emails with the $17.5K bonus promissary note, on-boarding documwnts, and a comprehensive 278 page ERJ-170/175 Study Guide, Memory Items and Operating Limits. Kind of nice to be able to study before class since you know what airplane you flying before showing up.

You will get LGA in class. EWR will be a little bit of a wait, believe it or not. You will only sit reserve a few months in LGA and you will quickly move up the list as everyone ahead of you bids out to whatever base they want. One of the big pros of being NY based. I've been on the line about 6 months and would bid about halfway up the LGA list

Hey guys, any truth to MIA base closing within the next year or two? I was looking at cadet programs and RAH is on the top of the list because of the MIA base.
Also, how junior does MIA run on both the FO and CA side?

Until envoy starts getting extended over water E170-200s, we will have a mia base. I don’t think there are plans for EOW for them.

it's like Apple Google Amazon and FB bombing out at the same time. not likely
I think MIA is there to stay (with the Hispanic market post-Maria and all that...) market has shrunk to the Carib but it's still there. AMR owned the Carib n I think and not interested in screwing over their youngest.
If you understand home building think of it this way: the bricks and foundation is the mainline; the wholly-owned regionals (endeavor/envoy) are the mortar and repub/skywest are the first line tuckpointers to keep it all pretty.
seems to be the way the biz is now. git wit it or check out.

I just did the interview and according to them they're 63% owned by the big 3 so effectively they're THE sub-major in the East IMO. No chance they'll go belly up unless **** REALLY hits the fan at all 3 (which by all the aging out, contracts, fleet, etc.) going on COULD BUT doesn't seem likely to happen.
