Not on property (yet) but, according to my interviewer, they make a congratulatory call followed up with a CJO in an e-mail if you are successful. They e-mail a TBNT if you are not. I believe an offer is good for 6 months, if you go beyond that time, you would have to interview again.

This is probably off topic, but I was curious what the process is after interviewing? Do they email or call you with a conditional offer? How long is the offer valid for?
Also, could anyone tell me how junior the following bases are?
MCI
IND
IAD
LGA
IAH
How long could one expect to sit on reserve at these bases?
I know IAH does not open until July, but I was just curious how junior it would be on the FO side.
If I was a new hire and assigned any of the above bases at first, what would be the best way to work toward getting IAH? I am absolutely committed to doing my dues, but getting IAH would be my primary goal.
Lastly, if I were say, 45. Is base selection assigned based on DOB? Where would someone mid 40's place in choice of bases?
I know it's a lot to ask of y'all. Just weighing out options at this point. Please go easy on me, I am trying to learn all the 121 jargon, etc.
Thank you all!

Is it wishful thinking that if I applied today, was offered a job and went through the process, would it be possible for me to land IAH as a base?
I live in Texas so being awarded IAH as a base is the reason for applying here, other than hearing positive vibes from everyone about the airline as a whole.
So, do y’all think they will be sending new hires, who want IAH, to Houston? Or is it more of a seniority gets first pick kind of thing and chances of New Hires getting IAH is very low? Heck I would even be okay with basing somwhere else for a few months if I had the opportunity to bid IAH at a later date.
Oh by the way, I have all of the minimums except I don’t have an ATP completed, nor have I taken the written or a CTP class.

If IAH is anything like MIA, it will stay junior initially and then become senior as it seems like it will be a good recruiting tool for those that live in Texas. If I recall correctly, MIA was pretty quickly awarded to new hires for about the first year it was open.
As someone else said, a new hire got IAH. The only question is how much it is going to grow as a base. It’s currently just over 20 crews and fully awarded/staffed for its opening in July. This last bid had only 1 vacancy for FO’s in August so there is no initial growth forecasted.

The good news for you is that seniority is determined by DOB at Republic, so you would be likely to be very senior within your class. If there is a IAH vacancy available during your class, you have a strong chance at getting it. If you don't get it, simply select IAH as your vacancy bid in the bidding software and you will get it as soon as your seniority can hold it.
MCI and IND are relatively senior and also challenging to commute to because most of their flying has early starts/late finishes. You would lose days off at the beginning or end of the trips by the fact that you couldn't get there/get home the same day. LGA and DCA are relatively junior and are much more popular commuter bases. Most junior DCA lineholder is an August '17 hire. Most junior LGA lineholder is a December '17 hire.

The most junior July FO award for IAH was a new hire. Obviously it was the very first award for the base so that may or may not continue. I would think as we are getting plenty of inquiries surrounding the IAH base the competition for it will start increasing after the next several classes of trainees.

Just signed up for August class and shooting for either CMH, IAH, or PIT. Heard that potentially new hires can hold a line relatively quick (heard sometimes not ever sitting reserve) in CMH. Any truth to this?

Yes, CMH and PIT both have very short reserve times.
