I knew of a Lakes guy in DEN who was 20 - I think we may have had a 20 year old guy back at Mesa in 05' whom they made an exception for

Just for the record, my buddy instructed since he first turned 19. He had some decent times when he got hired at colgan. He got his PPL at 16 and flew a bunch.

I'm in the same boat with Pinnacle...waiting to turn 21 (one more week). Yeah for those of us who flew in high school, I imagine being ahead of the game is a common trend. I have nowhere close to 1200 hours though. That's awesome.

Keep chuggin'! The CFI is worth it. It does depend on the FBO you work for. But you can make between $11/hr - $35/hr. My first year I made $20,000 and became a charter pilot.

Yeah, I work with a charter company now.....and I can honestly say that if you're a charter pilot, you are DEF. a hard working pilot!

What's the point of being an airline pilot if you're not 21? You can't even enjoy the overnight!
