You didn't say, but where do you live, and do you want to move or stay there?
After Comair furloughed me Jan 2009, I decided I couldn't start over flying for peanuts with a wife and mortgage, car payments etc. I was lucky enough to get hired as a GM for a company and have done very well the last 7 years.
Fast forward. No wife. Still have a mortgage but no car payments
While grateful for my current job, I just can't myself seeing shuffling papers, answering to share holders or employees for the next 30 years. I am good at what I do now, but I'm about to stab my self.
I have 121 experience, turbine time, PIC time, ATPL, type rating. But no current experience.
In your opinion, would any of the regionals (looking at Endeavor, Envoy, PSA, Piedmont, Republic) have a serious look at me?

Come on over to GoJet. Several Excomair guys here, decent bonus and you can be back in the left seat in less than a year. Plus never have to fly the 200.
Regionals haven't changed much.
Base/commute
Upgrade possibility
Pay/qol
Put them in your personal order of preference and choose accordingly. No need to get any flight time or currency, they will fix that any deficiencies in the sims.

I was out of airline flying for 20 years and GA flying for the past 8 years.
I got a BFR and an IPC in 2016, spoke with several recruiters and had 5 interviews.
I am currently in training on the CRJ.
It is still Regional flying but a lot better than it was 20 years ago. If you want to fly then go for it!

2) You have a pulse, so you won't have any issues coming back into the industry.
With your prior flight experience, especially 121, and a clean record, you can probably get on with just about any carrier you desire.
Never hurts to get back in the saddle and apply. Worst thing you can do is wait. Best of luck, buddy!

With CRJ experience, Endeavor would take you in the next available class.. If you have a PIC type you would be able to do a short course now too (not sure if lack of currency would be an issue with this though).

since 2009 as have a few work rules but its still work. Think about your
final goal then decide which regional is most likely to make that happen
and I don't necessarily mean the quickest. You don't want a 2009 do over.
Stable/growing regional with good pay/rules.
