My suggestion, get at least a few hours in something, and then go get an interview. Then study for the interview. You won't believe how much you have forgotten about flying.
At PSA, I have heard that we will hire you and put you in ATP-CTP class (even though you don't need the ATP). It is like a 2 week boot camp to get back in the saddle. I know one guy that I referred that had a similar background. He flew about 5 hours in a piston single, and then did the ATP-CTP class and got a few hours in the sim. He completed training without any issues, and did well in OE.

After Comair furloughed me Jan 2009, I decided I couldn't start over flying for peanuts with a wife and mortgage, car payments etc. I was lucky enough to get hired as a GM for a company and have done very well the last 7 years.
Fast forward. No wife. Still have a mortgage but no car payments
While grateful for my current job, I just can't myself seeing shuffling papers, answering to share holders or employees for the next 30 years. I am good at what I do now, but I'm about to stab my self.
I have 121 experience, turbine time, PIC time, ATPL, type rating. But no current experience.
In your opinion, would any of the regionals (looking at Endeavor, Envoy, PSA, Piedmont, Republic) have a serious look at me?

I just interviewed with PSA. There was a guy in my class that had your EXACT story. PM me for details and let's discuss.
Welcome back to flying!!!!!!

I was in the same boat. I didn't touch the controls of an aircraft for 10 years. I done an IPC in the sim just before sending my apps out and it come back fast. In my opinion if u left aviation with strong instrument skills u will have no problems at all.
Pm if u want any details

If you can remember what a CRJ looks like you are in like Flynn, ERJ will require a little bit of studying, pick the flavor you like and have at it. Prior 121 means they will give you the keys to their car and introduce you to their daughter and hint that she is "easy"

You will have no problem getting hired at a regional.
I came back after 7 yrs out of 121.
Pick the regional that fits you best. ( no commute would be best for QOL)
But do prepare for the interview you are going to. You can get the gouge on everyone on this board. I had to take a challenging written test at my interview. could not have passed it if I didn't prep for it.

I'm in this same situation as well. Furloughed at the end of 2008, and have only done a few C140 and Bonanza flights since. I decided that this would be a good time to get back into the industry, and sent off a few emails to recruiters testing the waters. They all seem interested. I have one interview set-up, and it felt like I could get quite a few more if I needed more than the one (first choice).
I have a plane reserved with an instructor for Saturday (will get more time for sure before I go to ground school) and I've been reading my instrument books and going over some charts that I found trying to get familiar with everything again. Fingers crossed...

Air Whisky has a big announcement coming any day now ...
But seriously, 35/hour plus $33,000 bonus of some sort. Lots of your old Comair buds are here. Future, uncertain ...
