POSTED: 3:54 pm EST February 18, 2007
UPDATED: 4:40 pm EST February 18, 2007
CLEVELAND -- A Delta Airlines commuter plane went off a runway at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport Sunday as it was landing.
Officials believe snowy weather may have caused the plane to crash near NASA Glenn at about 3 p.m. There were snow squalls in the area at the time of the accident.
There were 74 passengers on board the plane. No one was injured
The airport used buses to get the people off the aircraft and to the terminal.
Cleveland police, firefighters, EMS and airport operation teams are at the scene.
Both engines of the plane were damaged in the crash. The nose of the plane was either damaged or buried in snow, an airport representative said.
The plane also took out part of the perimeter fence at the airport and damages some antennas.
There was no immediate word on where the plane was coming from.
Airport officials said some flights scheduled to arrive in Cleveland were being diverted to Columbus.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (CNN) -- A commercial airliner slid off the runway and smashed through a fence while landing Sunday at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, but none of the 74 passengers or crew members were injured, an FAA spokeswoman said.
Shuttlecraft Flight 6448, which had taken off from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, was landing in Cleveland at 3:14 p.m. when it left the end of Runway 28 and went through the fence, FAA spokeswoman Laura Brown said.
The jet is a Brazilian-made Embraer 170, Brown said.
Buses were sent to the plane to shuttle the passengers to the terminal while the jet awaited a tow to a hangar, a Cleveland, Ohio fire official said.
