Skywest guys pls. Domiciles question
Hey guys,
Just wondering if Santa Barbara was a senior base or not. Also about PSP for both jet and brazilia, or San Diego.
I'm from KSNA, and just wondering how easy it would be to be based around there.
Thanks!

If you go to the Brasilia I think you could get one of those bases pretty quick. For sure you could get into Fresno in short order and then work your way to where you want to be not long after. The most junior bases would be LAX & SFO since they are reserve only. LAX might work for you if live in Orange County.......

Is there many pilots based in DEN and is it very JR? I only see about two routes SKY flying out of DEN, is that it? I am also assuming SLC is very senior? Thanks from a future BRO pilot!

With the news straight from the source, the seat locks are now back ON. So, the movement on the Bro will slow down for a few months. I am a 9/4/06 new hire and I am five away from being in Denver. Also, you have to consider when they award Denver they have only awarded 2 or 3 a month since I have been here, and they didn't award any Denver transfers in the last two bid awards.
I have moved up 5 -6 spots a month in Fresno and I am now 50% up the seniority list. Again, that is after five months. I THINK that SNA would be a two-leg commute for most domiciles in CA.
LAX and SFO are reserve bases on the Bro, so I assume they are the most junior. However, I have heard that people bid them and hope scheduling doesn't call them. But I don't know if that is true or not.

Junior for FO's, fairly senior for captains (4 years). EMB only, and it's a small base so the junior-most FO's will likely be on reserve for a long time.
If you live in SAN, PSP is an option...the two-hour drive once a week is not a big deal, cuz you know exactly when you have to leave (unlike commuting as a non-rev). Non-reving to DEN or SLC takes at least an hour to get to the airport and board, then 2 hours flight time, plus you had to arrive 3-6 hours EARLY in case the first flight didn't work out...that could be 9 hours out of your day. The two-hour drive with no TSA and your preferred tunes cranked up ain't so bad...
