Flight Case for a Beech 1900D

If you're flying the 1900, keep it cheap! And this one is, and will last, too. Many guys at my airline are joining the "toolbox legion." Keeps the latte out of your case for the most part, too, and resists the aforementioned "crushage" that Cardinal talks about.

Wait, your FO's on the 1900 get Jepps? At Lakes you just scribble out notes about the approach on your TOLD card and ask the PNF for help when you aren't sure what the procedure is. Better hope that one guy reads his chart right. Talk about making it pointless to have two guys in the cockpit...

As far as getting ramped our POH/AFM was in the closet too and never had a Fed say anything about that and we got the 3 rd degree after the CLT accident. Besides the cockpit door doesn't lock so you can just ask the guy in 1A to hand it to you in an emergency right? CRM use all your available resources!

The AFM and GOM fit in the bucket with a jepp binder. The yellow and red checklists are in the pockets behind the seats and another jepp binder fits behind the seat track up against the bulkhead. Get some jepp chart sleeves and a split ring and hang your jepps for the trip off the window latch. Bag goes in the closet. Plenty of room.

I use to use a black "leather" portfolio type of bag, and carry my headset. Put the bag behind the seat.
Then again though, our trips were just day trips.

Kansas is right about the Harbor Freight case. 25 dollars and you have a tank of a case that'll keep out the rain, snow, sleet, hail, puke and to top it off...can be used as a defensive weapon if need be. I had mine for 6 years before the handle broke off, but after 6 years I think another 25 dollars is ok to spend on another one.
