Default Ok here we go.. next rumor

Ok, since i dont think it has been mentioned yet i am going to throw it out there. The same person that "informed" me about the colgan purchase has thrown me another jewel. Within two weeks pinnacle will announce the opening up of a slc base flying rj900's. I know that sounds crazy, but i have heard that from several different sources, and several of them are my reliable ones. They say that it is for delta but i don't know how that would be possible seeing how skywest rules slc. but that is whats coming down the pipe. I could see us flying for northwest out of slc since they dont have any regionals flying for them out west. so there you have it. before you start to bash me remember i said that we were buying colgan 1 week before we did, so i am feeling pretty confindent on this one too.

i'm putting my money on airsupport. I already owe him a sixer of his choice! I think it would be an awesome opportunity for 9E guys. I hope they get the rate for the 50 seaters ironed out before the announcement.

I am not doubting any rumor at this point- an SLC base would be great, and I do think the -900 is a sweet plane. I would love to see the -900's at the mainline level though... If pncl could get some more flying (under PNCL, not PNCL holdings!) and a contract I would be a happy camper. I would highly consider bidding and moving to SLC, but I dont know how it would work with me being at the bottom of the senority list- I want a line ASAP! this rsv stuff has become a bit old! I wonder how many current guys would bid the -900/SLC. I would imagine it would be junior at first, but I guess it could go senior too.

I don't think there is much of a chance of it going senior. Remember we are a east coast airlines. The majority of our pilots live east of the mississippi. There are some that live on the west coast and that one guy that commutes from japan!, but they would probably be the only ones that would want to go to slc. I live here in TN, and wouldn't plan on moving out of memphis, at least not for a while. And i am not sure what plane we would be flying or what. I was told the 900, but you never know. But i am almost certain that we will have a base pretty soon in slc.
