800/100 or near these mins.
700 pilots in 2007

Where are they going find that many pilots? There aren't many Americans in flight schools these days.

Not knowing where you'd be based or what equipment was a huge turn off for me. I heard they are addressing this issue somewhat.
Great point about people not being in flight school. I think it came down to a cost benefit issue for most people. You can't expect somenone to invest tens of thousands on training and then not have a living wage. Eagle has learned this one the hard way and others will also.

I wouldn't count on it. Even though they need folks badly they are sticking to their guns in the interview. Many who interview still don't make it. Study the Gleim ATP book, there's no excuse for busting the written. Good luck.

It looks like the steps they are taking to correct their problem is going to take time. They say it's going to bring down the upgrades but we won't know any time soon. As far as base prefference, I think it's a lost cause, 1999 most junior captain is just brutal for a regional airline. I'd give it a few more months untill they drop to commercial and multi.

If you haven't already heard, AA/AE does an astronaut candidate style medical for the new hires. They pretty much check everything, takes a long time.

Excellent! That is probably the best news that could be out there. Once the Pilot source is dried up . . . . Each regional will be trying to lure what few pilots are left to their airline, with so few pilots around, pay might just increase.

This is why they can't get pilots. None of the other regionals do this type of invasive interview. It is kind of intimidating for a lot of people, especially when there are other places that are better.
